Stop letting pain control your life. At Urban Chiropractic, we don’t just mask your symptoms—we find and treat the root cause of your pain.
Myofascial pain is a chronic disorder where pressure on sensitive points in your muscles (trigger points) causes pain in seemingly unrelated parts of your body. At Urban Chiropractic, we “map” these points to release the underlying tension at the source.
This condition occurs when the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding your muscles becomes tight and develops hyper-irritable “knots” that refer pain throughout the body.

At Urban Chiropractic, we provide personalized, non-invasive care focused on correcting the underlying causes pain—not just temporary relief.
Adjust your workspace to prevent “static loading” on your shoulders.
Use deep breathing to prevent stress-related muscle guarding.
Keep muscles hydrated to prevent the formation of painful knots.
Preventative adjustments help maintain alignment and mobility.

A trigger point is a hyper-irritable spot in a taut band of muscle. It feels like a hard knot and, when pressed, it can “trigger” pain in a completely different part of your body (referred pain).
This is a classic example of referred pain. The nerves in your shoulder and neck are interconnected; when a myofascial knot becomes severe, the pain signals travel upward, manifesting as a tension headache.
A regular massage focuses on general relaxation. Myofascial release is a clinical, targeted therapy designed to break up specific adhesions (scar tissue) between the muscle and the fascia to restore functional movement.
